Here’s who the Giants are up against.
They waited about an hour after the San Francisco Giants did it, but the Los Angeles Dodgers have released their 26-player roster for the NLDS.
Just as the Giants did, the Dodgers opted to have 12 pitchers to 14 position players, the result of shortened rotations and off days before three of the five games. Unlike the Giants, who omitted Johnny Cueto from their roster, the Dodgers are putting a former starter in their bullpen for long relief, in the form of David Price.
The team is expected to start Walker Buehler in Game 1, Julia Urías in Game 2, and Max Scherzer in Game 3, with a Tony Gonsolin-heavy bullpen game in Game 4.
As expected, Clayton Kershaw and Max Muncy, who are injured, are not included on the roster. Kershaw is out for the postseason, while Muncy is hoping to return should the Dodgers advance.
