Golden State vs Boston Game 4 Predictions

June 11, 2022 by Last Word On Pro Basketball Leave a Comment

Golden State vs Boston Game 4 predictions will provide possibilities in this match-up, with the Boston Celtics now having the edge. The Celtics are two wins from the 2022 NBA Title; however, the Warriors will not be giving up that easily.

Golden State vs Boston Game 4 Predictions

Boston was in total control in most parts of Game 3. For instance, Golden State trimmed their deficit and led by a point in the 3rd quarter at 83-82 with 3:10 remaining. But the Celtics regained and held the lead until the end of the fourth at 116-100.

Being one of the best defensive teams, Boston is cut to hold the line against one of the best offensive teams in the NBA. Coach Ime Udoka knows exactly how to take care of the Warriors. The seasoned veterans accurately executed their plays and created problems for Golden State.

How the Celtics Handled Game 3 Over the Warriors

Boston led from the start of Game 3 but survived a third-quarter onslaught by the Warriors. In fact, the Celtics led by as many as 18 points only to lag by a point in the third quarter. After that, Boston recovered and took back the lead.

Firstly, the team trashed Warriors forward Draymond Green on his effectiveness. Green managed to turn in a single basket only. He was good for his trash talk and constant complaining in the match. Nothing more. Even his rebounds and play-making were off.

Secondly, the Boston starters contributed to the win. Jaylen Brown had 27 points, followed by Jayson Tatum with 26. Marcus Smart brought in 24 while Center Al Horford hauled 11 points, eight boards, and 6 dimes. Additionally, Center Robert Williams pulled 10 rebounds, four blocks, and three steals.

Finally, instead of buckling under the 3rd quarter assault, the Celtics stood their ground. They thwarted the threat of collapsing from their 7-point possession advantage.

Game 4 Predictions

Predicted to win Game 4 are the Celtics. Boston is the 4.5 favorite to win this match over the Warriors. Moreover, Curry’s performance remains to be seen, if he could deliver, after his ankle injury scare in Game 3. The Celtics will have to render Green useless in Game 4 to take advantage of scoring and rebounding. Boston also managed to tire out Curry in the 4th with their suffocating defense.

Game 4 of the 2022 NBA Finals Starting Time: 9:00 p.m. ET, Friday, June 10, 2022, at TD Garden in Boston.
