Oubre got bad news regarding his wrist injury.
Kelly Oubre Jr. got some bad news on Saturday, and so did Golden State Warriors fans. According to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic, Oubre — who has been rehabbing an injured wrist — has a torn ligament in that wrist, as well as a fracture in his palm.
The Warriors are getting a second opinion to see if Oubre can return for any of the team’s remaining eight games, as well as the postseason.
Oubre will have further evaluations on his wrist to determine whether he can continue playing through the injury, sources said. Oubre is averaging 15.4 points and six rebounds per game this season. https://t.co/bciBSD3vgN

Oubre has struggled with the wrist for much of the season, after injuring it on a dunk attempt in practice, and later on a dunk attempt during a game against the Washington Wizards. In the five-game stint that he returned from injury for, he seemed to be struggling a little bit with wrist mobility and discomfort.
With Oubre approaching free agency, it’s quite possible that we’ve seen him play his last game in a Warriors jersey. Regardless, hopefully he has a quick and successful recovery.
