The forward is dealing with a sore left wrist and is expected to sit out Thursday’s game in Minnesota.
Forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is dealing with left wrist soreness and is listed as doubtful for Thursday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 25-year-old missed five games while dealing with issues with the same wrist earlier in the month.
Head coach Steve Kerr has brought Oubre off the bench since he returned to the lineup for the April 19 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Oubre is averaging 17 points per game over his last five but has struggled mightily in the loss to Dallas. He shot just two-for-10 from the field and 28.6 percent from the 3-point line.
The good news is that veteran Kent Bazemore is expected to be back in the lineup after missing three games due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols. That should help mitigate Oubre’s loss.
Oubre is averaging 15.4 points, six rebounds and 1.3 assists. He is slated to become an unrestricted free agent after the season.
