Klay Thompson hasn’t suited up for an NBA game since the 2019 Finals — but now, the Golden State Warriors’ star shooting guard is looking back and better than ever.
On Tuesday, the all-time great sharpshooter took to Instagram to show off his progress — posting a video of himself draining 10 straight alternating corner threes.
“I’m just happy to be making progress on the daily,” he wrote. “Can’t wait to hoop again!”
Here’s a clip of the impressive workout:

After eight seasons and five straight All-Star appearances with the Warriors, Thompson’s career came to a screeching halt when he suffered a torn ACL in Game 6 of Golden State’s NBA Finals loss. Embarking on a long road of rehab and recovery, he was forced to sit out for the entirety of the 2019-20 season.
Leading up to this past season, it appeared as though Thompson would be back at full strength for the 2020-21 season. Unfortunately, he suffered yet another tragic season-ending injury when he tore his Achilles tendon during a preseason practice back in November.
Without Thompson on the court, an immense burden has been placed on Steph Curry’s shoulders. This past season, Curry led the league in scoring with 32.0 points per game, but it still wasn’t enough to bring his team to the postseason.
With the return of the second half of the original “Splash Brothers,” the Warriors should be in good shape for a comeback season in 2021-22.
If this video is any indication, Thompson should be in for a solid bounce-back season of his own as well.
