Four-star guard Miles Sadler looks forward to AAU season, names potential spring visits

April 16, 2025 by Zags Blog

By SAM LANCE

FISHERS, IN — Two seasons ago, Bella Vista Prep sat at the bottom of the EYBL scholastic standings. But this past year, it tied for first at 9-2, thanks in large part to the electrifying play of four-star point guard Miles Sadler.

Sadler — the 5-foot-11, 165-pound guard originally from Ontario — is one of the fastest and best overall point guards in the 2026 class. In his most recent action at Chipotle Nationals, Sadler scored 25 points with four assists, three rebounds and three steals as No. 5 Bella Vista fell to No. 4 Brewster Academy, 70-60.

“He’s got a chance to be the face of high school basketball next year,” Bella Vista Prep head coach Brandon Rosenthal said. “You talk about the speed, the change of pace, the playmaking ability as both a scorer and as a passer. And then the IQ defensively. His leadership really started to shine through this year. He’s a coach on the floor. He’s a true point guard. So he’s got as bright of a future as anybody.”

With his junior season behind him, Sadler is set to compete on the EYBL circuit with Arizona Unity this spring/summer.

“I’m looking forward to a lot of wins,” Sadler told ZAGSBLOG. “We won EYBL scholastic, but this summer I’m coming different for sure. A lot of players on our team can really make an impact this year for us. I’m just happy to be able to play basketball on another stage.”

Sadler describes himself as a shifty guard who’s a pest on defense, but he can also knock down shots and get his teammates involved offensively. The thing that stands out most about his game, though, is his speed. He may be the fastest player in the country with the ball in his hands.

“I don’t see anybody faster than me,” Sadler said. “I don’t see a lot of people that will stay in front of me if I have the ball in my hands.”

On the recruitment front, Sadler has garnered interest from a number of schools. Arizona State, Cal, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and UCLA were all in to see Sadler during the high school season. The point guard also named Iowa, Mississippi State, Stanford and Syracuse as schools in contact.

Sadler has taken one visit so far in the process to Arizona State. He’s looking to take one or two visits before the AAU season gets in full swing, and then he’ll take the rest after. Specifically, the four-star will be looking to take Cal, Oklahoma and Stanford.

Here’s Sadler’s breakdown of some of the schools in contact:

Oklahoma: “They’ve been in practice a couple of times, came to our pro day. And I like the way Jeremiah Fears has been playing at that school. So it’s a good option for sure.”

LSU: “Good conference. Probably the best conference in all of college basketball. So that’s definitely something that plays a part. And they are talking about me playing first year, letting me play my game. So that’s something to take into consideration for sure.”

Arizona State: “I like that it’s close. I’ve been in Arizona for half my life so far. So definitely being close to home. It’s 20 minutes away from our house, so overall it’s just a good experience and probably good to stay at home sometimes. A little second home. But its a good option and stuff like that. I like the campus, coaching staff. Everything about it was nice.”

Stanford: “They’ve been to practice like four or five times. Mainly to see one of our teammates, but they started coming for me too. It’s also close, neighboring state. Good location. Everything.”

Cal: “Cal calls a lot. And really, that’s one visit I’m looking forward to. Definitely need to take it. Hopefully I get my family out there and whoever else I need. But yeah, it’s something good to look forward to.”

UCLA: “Definitely something I’ve dreamed of as a kid, watching a lot of ball when I was like 12 and stuff like that. Russell Westbrook old highlights and stuff. So it’s definitely something because that’s one school I’ve always looked up to as a kid. So definitely taking that into consideration where I decide to go in the near future.”

Sadler’s family has a history in basketball with his uncle Chris Brown playing and his older brother, Tristan Sadler, suiting up at the JUCO level for Snow College.

“Those two are probably my biggest motivations,” Sadler said. “And then just getting my mom out because she wants to see the world. So that’s also something I’m trying to do for her too.”

Sadler is ranked the No. 34 overall recruit in the 2026 class by 247Sports. His nickname on the court is “Chef,” and his favorite NBA player is LeBron James.
