At the end of the day, the remaining core of Purdy, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle, combined with a dangerous San Francisco defense, should have an edge over Stafford, Kyren Williams, and company. Los Angeles will attempt to produce offense through their ground game. And their home field advantage will help. But the Niners will be a touch matchup to handle.

McCaffrey in particular is a pillar of San Francisco’s success. His value to his team cannot be overstated. However, the Rams 44-10 loss to the Cardinals in week two is a clear sign that the club, particularly the defense, has major issues.
Betting the over on an injury riddled road team in a division matchup is always dangerous. But the Rams abysmal performances and comparable injury concerns give them very little margin for error.
Tyler Johnson over 33.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
The 49ers offense should get off to a fast start against this the 32nd ranked Rams defense. A blowout game script will put Stafford and company in a position where they have to throw early and often to keep pace. While their scoring production will likely be low, there are plenty of opportunities for garbage-time productions from Los Angeles receivers against the 19th ranked Niners’ pass defense.
Johnson, Demarcus Robinson, and Colby Parkinson are all good bets to eclipse their overs in receiving years. However, Johnson low mark of 33.5 low is the safest best on the board.
