Robert Saleh’s popularity on the coaching market isn’t waning. The 49ers defensive coordinator on Wednesday had a second interview with the Jets before hopping on a plane to Florida to meet with the Philadelphia Eagles per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport intimated on NFL Network that the Jets were trying to get a deal done with Saleh while he was in the building Wednesday, but they didn’t reach an agreement and both sides are keeping options open.
New York is the first team to interview Saleh twice, but he’s had interviews with the Lions, Falcons, Chargers, Jaguars and now he’ll add a sixth team with the Eagles who became the seventh team with a head coaching vacancy when they parted ways with Doug Pederson on Monday.
