Several Teams Calling On Deebo Samuel: NFL World Reacts

Could another superstar wide receiver be trade this offseason?

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the San Francisco 49ers have received and keep getting calls from several interested teams regarding a trade for Deebo Samuel.

“I know there are several teams interested in Deebo Samuel,” Rapoport said on Monday.

“We’ve talked about them from Jets to Lions to the Packers have interest. There are going to be several teams who are interested in trading for him and giving him roughly the value of maybe the 13th overall pick.”

It sounds like teams are comparing Samuel’s value to the 13th overall pick in this year’s draft.

However, the latest report indicates the Niners want at least two first-round picks for their star wide receiver.

“One rival GM said to me Sunday that he believes you’d probably have to go to John Lynch with two first-round picks, which would replace the 2022 and ’23 first-rounders the Niners dealt away last year to move up for Trey Lance, to wriggle Samuel free of San Francisco,” Albert Breer wrote, via SI.com. “And that is a lot, even in comparison to the other big receiver trades of the early parts of this year.”

Will teams be willing to pay as much as two firsts for Deebo? Probably not.

The 14th overall pick – or maybe a little better or worse – would probably suffice.

“Deebo is reportedly worth the 13th overall pick. Does someone pay that price?”

Keep an eye out here. Deebo Samuel could be on the move before Thursday’s NFL Draft.
