Las Vegas had big hopes for Irving
We’re all old enough to remember when David Irving was going to save the Las Vegas Raiders’ defense.
Now, Irving is out of the organization and is trying to latch on with the Indianapolis Colts.

There was big excitement inside and outside of the Raiders’ program when they signed the defensive end during last season. Irving has previously played for Las Vegas defensive line coach Rod Marinelli with the Dallas Cowboys. However, he had dealt with NFL suspensions and hadn’t played for two years when he signed with the Raiders.
Irving was signed to the Las Vegas practice squad and ended up only playing in two games for the Raiders. Irving, who spent time on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list, had four total tackles and no sacks with the Raiders.
The Raiders did not sign Irving to a future contract last month like they did with several practice squad players. Now, he is trying to continue his career elsewhere.
In addition to Irving, the Raiders also tried to kickstart their pass rush during the season by adding Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley. None of those additions provided any real help, either.
