Start firing up those mock drafts!
Usually, there’s a silver lining about missing the playoffs: a really good draft pick.
For some teams, though, you’re right on the outside looking in and you get the worst of both ends.
The Raiders missed the playoffs, but due to their 8-8 record they will officially pick 17th in the NFL Draft. Pretty much right at the halfway mark. There will still be a lot of really talented players sitting on the clock there at 17, but if you’re going to miss out on the postseason, a higher pick would be so much nicer.
Alright, Raiders fans — the regular season is over and it is officially mock draft season. Who do you hope is available for the Raiders at No. 17?
