The Las Vegas Raiders have restructured the deals of several players in recent days to create salary cap room that helped them secure veteran linebacker K.J. Wright, who officially signed on Monday.
Two of the players who restructured are linebackers Nick Kwiatkoski and Cory Littleton. Still, according to Over The Cap via the Associated Press, the Raiders are spending the most money at the linebacker position in the entire NFL.

The Wright contract details have not been revealed yet, but it’s been reported that he is making about $4 million in Las Vegas this season. The Raiders also traded for linebacker Denzel Perryman last month. He signed a two-year, $6 million deal with the Carolina Panthers this offseason. The Raiders can get out of the deal for next season.
Clearly the Raiders didn’t feel good about their young linebackers so they got re- enforcements and it did not come cheaply. But if the financial commitment pays off on the field, it will be worthwhile.
