We open up NHL predictions with the Minnesota Wild taking on the Edmonton Oilers. Minnesota will start Jesper Wallstedt in goal for this game. The Wild are 8-0-2 in the last 10 games, with the only setbacks coming via overtime or a shootout. Kirill Kaprizov leads the team in goals (17) and points (31). He’s also tied wth Matt Boldy for the lead in assists with 14.
The embattled Stuart Skinner is the projected starter for the Oilers, who are 5-4-1 in the last 10 games. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Edmonton has dropped four out of its last six games despite the win over the Seattle Kraken last time out. Connor McDavid is first on the team in assists (25) and points (36), and Leon Draisaitl is tops in goals with 15.
Both teams are looking for a win. However, the Wild should get the bounce-back victory.
Prediction: Wild win 4-3.
