The 49ers are signing RB Sincere McCormick to their practice squad, per Vic Tafur. He was just let go by the Raiders this week and will give San Francisco another layer of depth in the backfield.  McCormick, 24, was a three-year starter at UTSA and was the CUSA Offensive Player of the Year. The San Francisco 49ers announced they have re-signed P Thomas Morstead.  In a corresponding move, the team placed WR Jacob Cowing on injured reserve. He must miss at least four games before he’s eligible to return.  Morstead, 39, was originally drafted in the fifth round by the Saints back in 2009.
