A’s go for third straight series win
Looking to take the third straight series from and American League West rival, the Athletics will wrap up the series with the Seattle Mariners tonight at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. The Mariners took game one on Monday night, but the A’s bounced back to win last night’s matchup 6-1 behind a Brent Rooker 3-run homer and a solid start by Luis Severino.
Tonight, Jeffrey Springs gets the nod for the A’s. He’s 9-7 on the year with a 4.13 ERA in twenty-two games. Springs will face off against Oakland native Bryan Woo for Seattle. Woo is 8-5 with a 2.91 ERA in twenty 2025 starts for the Mariners. He’s 1-0 in two starts against the A’s this season giving up six earned runs on eleven hits in twelve innings of work.
