Looking for a bounce back in game three
Looking to bounce back after a blowout last night the A’s take the field again tonight for the third of four games against the division rival Rangers.
Righty Luis Severino will be on the mound for the visiting team today. The veteran has bounced back from a couple rough starts earlier in April to post a 3.49 ERA over 38 2⁄3 frames. He’s only 1-3 to show for his efforts though so hopefully the team can get their Opening Day starter some run support so Severino feels he doesn’t have to be perfect.

All the starters are in there for the Wednesday night contest, including shortstop Jacob Wilson who got the day off yesterday.
They’ll have another tough task tonight as they face veteran right-hander Nathan Eovaldi for the first time this season. The 35-year-old is off to one of the best starts of his long career. Over six starts already he’s got a pristine 2.21 ERA while punching out 38 batters in just 36 innings. That’s still only good enough for second place on the team and he’s been a big part of Texas’ strong start to the season. Again, every run will be at a premium in tonight’s contest.

A win tonight would get the club back to .500, guarantee a series split and give themselves a chance at winning the series on Thursday. Let’s go A’s!
