Can’t let this losing streak get to 11
Time to snap the streak. Ths A’s get another chance at the Phillies tonight hoping to snap this rough spell for the club. We’ll see if they can do it but it’s going to be a tall task against the team with the best record in baseball.
Jeffrey Springs is set for the start tonight after getting pushed back one day. The lefty has turned his season around as he has a 1.46 ERA in four May starts. Can he keep that up against a tough Phillies team? On the bright side their biggest bats are left-handed so he should at least have that advantage going for him.
The starting nine:

About what you would expect, outside of right field. That position will be manned by Miguel Andujar in what will be his second start at the position this year. The team will also see Max Schuemann man third base while Denzel Clarke mans his new home of center field again.
Philly will trout out left-hander Cristopher Sanchez for tonight’s start. With a 3.10 ERA he’s only third best in the Phillies rotation but the club has its work cut out for them tonight against the third-year starter.

That top of the lineup is as tough as any in the sport. Luckily two of those first three are left-handed hitters which should benefit Springs.
Who else feels like the streak dies tonight? Let’s go A’s!
