Can we steal one in Texas before hitting the road?
Alright, last night didn’t go so well. But it’s a new day! And that means that the A’s have a new chance to win. And at 23-32 they need all the wins they can get.
Right Luis Severino is set to take the ball for his 12th start of the season. He’s on a roller coaster in his first season with the Athletics but overall still has a 4.11 ERA and is still looking for that second win in an Athletics uniform. Maybe today will be the day.

Same lineup as yesterday but hopefully a different result.
Opposing the squad will be longtime Astros hurler Lance McCullers Jr. The veteran right-hander has only made four starts this year but he’s still ramping up after missing most of last year and a chunk of the early portion of this season. The A’s know what he can do when he’s on top of his game though so the hope is that the bats saved all their anger for today.
Houston’s starting lineup for the finale looks like this:
Wednesday matinee.
