Oh, Canada! Please give us a win!
The A’s are out of the country! In Toronto for a nice little trip the club has business to take care of against the Blue Jays as the club tries to get back to their winning ways.
Tonight’s starting pitcher will be rookie Jacob Lopez. He’ll be making just his third start of the season and fifth of his career. Last time out was his most impressive performance as a major leaguer when he fired seven innings of one-run ball against the Phillies. The Athletics would gladly take that kind of outing again tonight.

No Denzel Clarke in the starting lineup as he’ll get a day off. Fellow rookie Drew Avans will draw the start in center instead, his first career major league start. The team will also plug Logan Davidson at first base and batting ninth.
Taking the ball for the Blue Jays will be Jose Berrios. The veteran right-hander has had an up-and-down campaign so far this season and he’ll bring a 4.22 ERA into tonight’s matchup.
