
A’s look to take the series from the Yankees
Looking for a series win against the Bronx Bombers; the Athletics take on the New York Yankees this morning at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. After a dominating win in yesterday’s matinee 7-0, the A’s hope to keep the momentum going before finishing up the road trip against the Tampa Bay Rays in Florida.
Luis Severino will get the start today. Severino is 2-8 on the season with a 4.83 ERA in his seventeen starts in 2025. He’s headed back to Yankee Stadium after eight seasons with the Yankees and one with the cross-town Mets. He’s fared much better on the road this season, notching a 2-1 record with a 2.27 ERA in seven starts. He’ll face Marcus Stroman for the Yanks. Stroman has only pitched in three games this season and is 0-1 with an 11.57 ERA. He was recalled from his rehab assignment for today’s game.
