JP Sears will take on the Rockies today
Fresh off a wild extra inning victory yesterday the Athletics and Colorado Rockies are back at it again. Yesterday, at gametime the weather was 37 degrees and snow, today players and fans can expect a balmy 42 degrees and only a slight chance of more snow. Let’s see how the ball flies today!
JP Sears takes the mound today against the Rockies. Sears has made just one start this season (against the Mariners) and took the loss, tossing 6.2 innings, giving up two earned runs on five hits and no walks. He struck out seven. He matches up against Germán Márquez, who has no record, going six innings, giving up no earned runs on four hits while striking out 6 Phillies. He’s spent the better part of the last two seasons in the injured list with various arm issues.
