Robbie Ray vs. Quinn Priester.
After a disappointing end to an otherwise successful road trip, the San Francisco Giants are back home, where they’ve played just six of their 22 games so far this season. And they’re welcoming in the Milwaukee Brewers, as a four-game series kicks off.
The Giants are handing the ball to veteran left-handed pitcher Robbie Ray, who makes his fifth start of the season. Ray has had an up-and-down year, but he leads the league in wins and leads the Majors in winning percentage, as he’s gone 3-0 with a 4.19 ERA, a 5.88 FIP, and 21 strikeouts against 15 walks in 19.1 innings. He gave up 11 baserunners and four earned runs in four innings against the Philadelphia Phillies his last time out, though he struck out eight.
On the other side is right-handed pitcher Quinn Priester, a 24 year old in his third Major League season, and pitching for his third Major League club. In two starts this year, the 2019 first-round pick is 1-0 with a 0.90 ERA, a 4.23 FIP, and eight strikeouts to five walks in 10 innings. He tossed five shutout innings against the Detroit Tigers in his last game.
Enjoy the game everyone! Go Giants!
