Landen Roupp vs. Aaron Civale
The San Francisco Giants head to the Windy City today to begin a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Landen Roupp, who enters tonight’s game with a 3.67 ERA, 3.73 FIP, with 70 strikeouts to 32 walks in 76 innings pitched. His last start was in the Giants’ 3-2 win over the Boston Red Sox last Saturday, in which he allowed three hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in six innings.
He’ll be facing off against White Sox right-hander Aaron Civale, who enters today’s game with a 5.03 ERA, 5.52 FIP, with 25 strikeouts to 12 walks in 34 innings pitched between the White Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers. His last start was in the White Sox’ 7-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, in which he allowed five runs on nine hits with two strikeouts and a walk in seven innings.
