Kevin Gausman vs. Brett Anderson

Taking the mound for the Giants tonight will be Kevin Gausman, who enters tonight’s game with a 2.49 ERA, 2.94 FIP, with 176 strikeouts to 46 walks in 152 innings pitched. Gausman’s last start was in Friday’s 6-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves, in which Gausman delivered a solid performance, allowing six hits, two runs and striking out two in six innings pitched.
He’ll be facing off against Brett Anderson, who enters tonight’s game with a 4.27 ERA, 4.20 FIP, with 54 strikeouts to 25 walks in 86 innings pitched. His last start was a 5-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds, in which he allowed four hits, three runs, and two walks, striking out three in four innings pitched. His last start against the Giants went somewhat better, though the Brewers still lost, Anderson only allowed one run in five innings.
