Logan Webb vs. Eric Lauer.
Things have not gone super well for the San Francisco Giants lately. They’ve lost four games in a row, tied for their season high. And now they face the Milwaukee Brewers, needing a win to avoid a four-game sweep at home. A win that would put them tied for the NL West lead with the Los Angeles Dodgers, ahead of a weekend showdown between the rivals.
The good news for the Giants is that Logan Webb is taking the mound. The Giants have won 12 of Webb’s last 13 starts, a span in which he’s pitched 73.1 innings and allowed just 52 hits, 15 walks, and 12 earned runs, with 78 strikeouts. He has not allowed more than two runs in any of those games.
For the Brewers it’s Eric Lauer, who has a 3.61 ERA, a 4.26 FIP, and 82 strikeouts to 31 walks in 82.1 innings.
Also, Mauricio Dubón is back!
