The left-handed pitcher becomes the eighth prospect to join the Scottsdale Scorpions.
On Wednesday, the Arizona Fall League rosters were revealed, showing that seven San Francisco Giants prospects would be playing for the organization’s shared affiliate. But on Friday a graphic put out by the organization announced that left-handed pitcher Seth Corry was also headed to Arizona, where he’ll join fellow pitchers R.J. Dabovich, Gregory Santos and Cole Waites, catcher Patrick Bailey, infielders Marco Luciano and Will Wilson, and outfielder Hunter Bishop.

Corry entered the season with a lot of hype, and was voted the No. 6 prospect in the Giants farm in the McCovey Chronicles Community Prospect List. But it was a very rough season for the 22 year old, who was a third-round pick in the 2017 MLB Draft.
He spent the year with the High-A Eugene Emeralds, where he amassed a 5.99 ERA. The troublesome part of his season, however, was the control. Corry struck out 100 batters in 67.2 innings, but issued 63 walks, a dreadful amount.
But he ended the season on a high note. After missing a month with an injury, Corry returned in late August, and put up this line over his final four appearances: 8.1 innings, 3 hits, 4 walks, 0 runs, 11 strikeouts.
The Arizona Fall League should give Corry a good opportunity to build on that success, and work on his mechanics before the 2022 Minor League season.
