It looks like Cueto might be back sooner than expected. Conveniently enough, you can also buy tickets to (hopefully) see him pitch in the postseason this week.
Good morning, baseball fans. A couple of good news updates for you this morning.
Per John Shea of The San Francisco Chronicle, Johnny Cueto felt good throwing over the weekend and could potentially start a rehab game in the next week. This is good news for fans who were hoping to see Johnny Cueto pitch for the San Francisco Giants again before entering free agency.

And it gives the Giants another starting pitcher option for potentially the end of the regular season (depending on how he does in his rehab work), and beyond.
Speaking of “beyond,” the Giants announced late last week that tickets for four potential postseason games will be available starting this Thursday via the Giants website. These will include a Wild Card Game, and three NLDS home games (refundable if the games don’t occur, but let’s only think about that for the Wild Card Game). Tickets for further rounds will be available as the playoffs progress.
I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly ready for another Orange October.

What time do the Giants play today?
The Giants are off today, they’ll head to San Diego to kick off a three game series against the Padres tomorrow. The Dodgers are also off today, thankfully. But if you want to keep an eye on the Wild Card race, you can watch the Cincinnati Reds take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at 3:40 p.m., PT; the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Baltimore Orioles at 4:05 p.m., PT, or the St. Louis Cardinals vs. the Milwaukee Brewers at 4:40 p.m., PT.
