The Giants are heading out for another week on the road. Which series are Giants fans most interested in this week?
Good morning, baseball fans!
It’s a new week, and the San Francisco Giants are hitting the road once again to take on the Chicago Cubs and the Minnesota Twins in three-game series.
First up, the Giants will head to Wrigley Field to take on the Cubs, who are also having a strong start to the season. After that, they will head to Minneapolis to take on the Twins, who are not having quite as strong of a start to the year.
For me, it’s basically a wash. Both series are on the road, in the same time zone, and they’re both teams I do not have a strong interest in. Usually the novelty of interleague play wins out in these situations, but I’ve got to go with the Cubs.
I am of the mindset that the Cubs winning the 2016 World Series shifted us into a different timeline where everything else in the world has gone horribly wrong. So I can’t help but wonder if them winning it again could put things back in order.
Also, and less jokingly, the two teams were not necessarily expected to be as good as they have been, so it should be interesting baseball.
