It’s the worst of both worlds this week, as the Giants hit the road to take on two division rivals. Which series are Giants fans most interested in this week?
Good morning, baseball fans!
The San Francisco Giants are back on the road this week as they head off to take on two of their division rivals.
The word “rival” hardly applies to the Colorado Rockies this season, as they still have the worst record in baseball. However, it will not be the Rockies at Oracle Park. Oh, no. It will be the Giants at Coors Field. And if the word “rival” doesn’t apply to the Rockies, it more than certainly does apply to the cursed ground upon which they play baseball.
That series will start tomorrow, and go through Thursday. After that, the Giants will head back west to take on the Los Angeles Dodgers for the first time this season.
Obviously I cannot, in good conscience, choose Coors Field in any context. So the answer for me is the Dodgers series. But let’s be real, the answer would be that series no matter who else they were playing this week. It’s the rivalry.
Don’t forget to vote for the All Star Game! As a reminder, we’re doing a push for Matt Chapman, Wilmer Flores, Heliot Ramos and Jung Hoo Lee. Vote early, vote often, and go Giants!
