With another week of Giants baseball coming to a close, it’s time for Giants fans to discuss who we think was this week’s Player of the Week.

The San Francisco Giants are wrapping up another week of baseball this weekend, so it’s time for us to discuss who we think was this week’s Player of the Week!
For me, it has to be Wilmer Flores. But my week kind of goes Friday-Thursday, and also I’ve already shouted out Flores for this week.
Instead, I’m going to go with Hayden Birdsong. After sweeping the Athletics, the Giants kind of struggled against the Kansas City Royals, dropping two of three. But they did win one, and Hayden Birdsong was making his first start of the season in that game.
He ended up allowing one unearned run on five hits with four strikeouts in five innings of work. Not a bad start by any metrics. The kid is having a pretty good week, with a promotion and a strong first start. So that’s why he’s my pick this week.
