The San Francisco Giants will be wrapping up another week of baseball today as they complete this three-game series against the Washington Nationals this morning in the nation’s capitol.
This means it’s time to take a look back at the week that was and discuss our favorite highlights!
I like to preface these with the fact that I have to pre-write a lot of the time, so my week tends to consist of Friday-Thursday. And this week I’ve already kind of shouted out my favorites, but you know what? I’m still gonna give it to Wilmer Flores. Because he deserves it, dang it.
This week, I’m picking Flores’ grand slam in the May 16th game against the Athletics in which he would go on to hit two more home runs. All three are great and worthy of praise, but there’s nothing like a grand slam. And a grand slam after a 10-pitch at-bat to boot!
