The Giants are playing 2021 games so let’s look at 2022 games
Hello and happy Thursday.
Because baseball is bizarre and always does this, MLB has released the 2022 schedule while we’re smack dab in the middle of the 2021 schedule. Which means that, in addition to looking forward to the next two months of San Francisco Giants baseball, you can look forward to next year, too.
The Giants open the season on March 31 (a Thursday) when they visit the San Diego Padres. Their home opener is on April 8 (an Orange Friday) against the Miami Marlins. The Giants first face the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 3, and their interleague schedule includes games against the Oakland A’s and the AL Central.
They end the season with 16 straight games within the division: three against the Dodgers, six against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and seven against the Colorado Rockies.
Only 238 days until Opening Day.
