Bryant compares the clubhouse environment to that of the 2016 Chicago Cubs. That ended pretty well for them.
Good morning, baseball fans!
Kris Bryant recently spoke with Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area about his experience at the trade deadline and what things have been like with the Giants thus far. Obviously, it helps with clubhouse morale when you’re on a team in a heated playoff race, that wins more than it loses.
But Bryant compares the atmosphere in the Giants clubhouse to a familiar one for him, the 2016 World Series winning Cubs.
“You know, after each win it’s celebrated. There’s fun in the clubhouse, people are enjoying their time with each other, they’re hanging out after games,” Bryant said. “I’ve been a part of clubhouses like that before and we won a World Series, I think, because we had that kind of atmosphere in Chicago. I see it here, too.
Now, clubhouse atmosphere is in no way indicative of whether this team will achieve the same level of success. But for Bryant, and many Giants fans, this year’s team certainly does have that special something going for them. It’s been a fun ride so far, and hopefully it will continue.
