Good morning, baseball fans! I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend. In case you missed it, Simu Liu was on hand for Sunday’s game to throw out the first pitch, and it was a fun one!
Liu was in town to promote his upcoming Marvel film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” taking the field to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, throwing to coach Alyssa Nakken. And as celebrity first pitches go, it was a good one, made even better when Liu followed it up with a back flip.
How about that for a first pitch? pic.twitter.com/Pe6aG2VBhh

Now that’s pitching with style.
Speaking of style, Liu wasn’t the only big name in attendance on Sunday. Klay Thompson was actually in the park, instead of in the cove, and he was hanging out with fellow Bay Area royalty, E-40. The two took this selfie together, prompting the more superstitious baseball fans among us to realize that we would need to also start wearing bucket hats, as they were clearly effective in Sunday’s win.
