Good vibes only, people.
Good morning, baseball fans! You may be wondering what I’m so chipper about. Sure, last night’s game was another stinker. And sure, the San Francisco Giants have lost three in a row, and four of their last five. And sure, it sucks that they went 19-9 and lost ground in the division.
But friends, today we celebrate a long awaited milestone. Some said this day would never come. Many demanded that it should have come years ago. But last night, it finally happened. Brandon Belt hit a career high 20th home run.

Belt has often seemed poised to hit or exceed this number in several previous seasons, only to be sidelined by fluke injuries (like baseballs or knees hitting him in the head). But now he’s finally done it and I, for one, could not be happier for him.
Give me your best Belt gifs in the comments to start this day off right.
Also, some more good news, it looks like Evan Longoria might be poised to return to the team fairly soon after receiving a cortisone shot for his injured finger (sustained right after he returned from his previous injury). So hopefully that will be a jolt of energy in an offense that was just outscored 18-3 over their last three games.
