The Sacramento Kings have interest in a wide range of possible players this offseason as they look to upgrade their roster after missing the playoffs for the past two seasons.
The Kings will monitor the potential availability of Jonathan Kuminga as he enters restricted free agency. The Golden State Warriors have signaled they intend to either ultimately retain Kuminga or participate in a sign-and-trade scenario.
As the Kings also address the point guard position, they have interest in Dennis Schroder, Russell Westbrook and Tre Jones.
Sacramento explored a trade for Jrue Holiday, but had concerns about his age and cost. Sources tell The Athletic that “some power-brokers” with the Kings pushed for a Trae Young trade but the Kings didn’t pursue due to his style of play and cost.
