The Sacramento Kings are likely in the lead to sign Dennis Schroder, sources told Jake Fischer of The People’s Insider.
Schroder’s new deal could start at the full $14.1 million midlevel exception.
The Mavs are also rumored to be interested in signing Schroder.
Schroder averaged 13.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 75 games across the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons.
The Kings are also looking to trade into the lower part of the first round of Wednesday’s draft. Rival teams believe that they have discussed the Thunder’s pick at No. 24.
