The Sacramento Kings have picked up their team option on Keon Ellis for the 2025-26 season worth $2.3 million. The Kings could have declined the option to make Ellis a restricted free agent, but instead he’ll become an unrestricted free agent in 2026 unless he signs an extension. Ellis, who is represented by Andy Shiffman and Mark Bartelstein, went undrafted in 2022 out of Alabama.
Ellis averaged 8.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 24.4 minutes across 80 games for the Kings last season. Ellis also shot 43.3 percent on 4.0 three-pointers per game.
Sacramento’s roster is considered to be in flux this offseason following their deadline trade of De’Aaron Fox that netted them Zach LaVine in return.
