The Kings will look to pickup their second win in a row in Las Vegas.
The Sacramento Kings will return to the court on Tuesday night. for their second game of the Las Vegas Summer League against the Washington Wizards.
The Kings will look to replicate their performance in Monday’s 80-70 over the Hornets, which was an overall solid outing for them, specifically defensively, where they forced 25 Hornets turnovers.
Kings rookie Davion Mitchell was the star of the show on Monday, making several highlight-reel defensive plays against fellow rookie James Bouknight. Mitchell also added 10 points and 9 assists while recording zero turnovers. He looked like a guy that should be able to transition to the NBA game fairly easily.
The Wizards’ first game in Vegas against the Pacers was postponed due to COVID-19 related health and safety protocols. Isaiah Todd, the 31st pick in this year’s draft, is among those that will likely be sidelined Tuesday due to health and safety protocols along with Cassius Winston and Issuf Sanon.
Tuesday night will also be the debut of No. 15 pick Corey Kispert, who was widely considered the best shooter in the entire draft. It will be interesting to see who on the Kings is tasked with guarding Kispert, because whoever it is will have his work cut out for him, running around screens and getting in his airspace.
