Another day, another significant trade rumor involving the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to a report from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Lakers have discussed a potential trade for Sacramento Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield. Per the report, the Lakers would likely send small forward Kyle Kuzma to the Kings in exchange for Hield.
Hield, 28, has been the subject of trade rumors for a while. He’s been with the Kings since 2017, though his future with the franchise has been up in the air for a season or two. Now, it’s possible that Sacramento will choose to send him elsewhere.

Hield is seen by most as a great fit for the Lakers. His shooting ability should play well next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Buddy Hield solves so many problems for the Lakers lol.

Hield isn’t the only notable player linked to the Lakers. Los Angeles has also been linked to shooting guard DeMar DeRozan.

Hield has experience shooting well at Staples Center, too. He’s a career 45.7 percent 3-point shooter at the Lakers’ home arena.
Buddy Hield had shot 45.7% from 3 at Staples Center against the Lakers since 2017
Make the move, he knows how to hit shots in a place where shooters die

The Lakers are expected to be major players on the trade market this offseason. A move for Hield would be a pretty nice first step for a team looking to get back into championship contention.
