The trade between the Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings that swapped Jonas Valanciunas and Dario Saric was made official on Sunday.
The deal was initially reported on July 1 before news broke that Valanciunas was getting recruited by Panathinaikos.
Though the trade is now official, there are no updates on Valanciunas’ situation with the Nuggets. The team previously stated that they expect the center to honor his NBA contract.
Valanciunas’ contract does not allow him to pursue another professional opportunity unless he and the Nuggets agree to a buyout, according to Bobby Marks of ESPN.
Valanciunas averaged 10.4 points and 7.7 rebounds last season and is expected to backup Nikola Jokic.
