The Golden State Warriors are looking for a “promising young player” and a first-round pick in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
The Kings offered Devin Carter, Dario Saric, and two second-round picks for Kuminga, though the Warriors felt that was a low-ball trade package.
The Wizards most recently registered interest in Kuminga, with the Heat, Bulls, Bucks, and Nets also showing different levels of interest.
Kuminga is searching for a situation where he would be a featured part of a core.
The two sides have plans to meet face-to-face during Summer League in Las Vegas.
Kuminga’s return to the Warriors next season is also still on the table.
The Warriors currently have the ability to match any deal Kuminga signs after extending a $7.9 million qualifying offer.
