Al Horford and the Golden State Warriors continue to wait on a resolution to the Jonathan Kuminga situation before finalizing their agreement. Horford could be signed for the full taxpayer midlevel exception on a two-year deal with the second season a player option.
The taxpayer midlevel exception for the 2025-26 season is worth $5.685 million.
Horford appeared in 60 games last season with the Boston Celtics, averaging 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27.7 minutes. The Warriors will value Horford’s ability to stretch the floor and swith on defense at the center position.
The Kuminga situation continues to drag out with the restricted free agent having an October 1st deadline to sign the qualifying offer or agree to terms on a contract.
