Bill Simmons is known for using analogies in his sports analysis. Sometimes, they can be interesting, to say the least.
On the latest edition of “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” Simmons and Ryen Russillo were discussing Stephen Curry’s performance in the Golden State Warriors’ 104-93 win over the Houston Rockets in Game 2 of the Western Conference first round series Saturday. Curry was his vintage self, going off for 36 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds.
Russillo remarked that it is incredible to know that at 37, Curry is still capable of such displays. He then referred in passing to those that may hate the Warriors superstar, prompting an all-time response from Simmons.
“It’s like hating blowjobs,” Simmons said, causing Russillo to laugh. “I mean, how do you hate Steph Curry. It’s ridiculous. What’s to hate?”

Alright then, Bill. Even by Simmons standards, this is quite the comparison.
On a more G-rated note, Curry and the Warriors have a chance to take a commanding 3-1 series lead at home Monday night. Steph is averaging 29.0 points per game in the first three games of the series.
“He’s Steph Curry,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after Saturday night’s win. “He’s one [of the] greatest players of all time. He’s 37. He’s one of the most well-conditioned athletes I’ve ever seen in my life. To play 41 minutes against that kind of defense, to have a slow start and then find his rhythm, which we have seen him do countless times over the years, to hit big shots, to only turn it over twice against that kind of pressure, he was brilliant.”

The Warriors did not have star Jimmy Butler available Saturday due to a pelvic contusion, but Butler is expected to return tonight.
Game 4 between the Warriors and Rockets will tip off at approximately 10 p.m. ET tonight on TNT.
