Bold Warriors Signing That Could Save Steph Curry’s Season

November 30, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

The Golden State Warriors are playing mediocre basketball this season. They have been searching for a spark. They tried everything, even starting rookie Will Richard. But it is clear they lack something, and that is shooting. That should change soon with the Warriors signing Seth Curry to a contract. The two sides had a contract in place this summer, but the Warriors had to let him go. Now, according to reports, he is coming back to the team.

Bold Warriors Signing That Could Save Steph Curry’s Season

Entering the season, the Warriors were hard-capped at the second apron. Because of that, they could only keep 14 players entering the season. After creating space, they finally added the younger Curry to the roster, who will take the 15th spot on the team.

They didn’t just make a roster move; the signing is something fans have been dreaming about for a while. Once Klay Thompson left the franchise, there were no more Splash Brothers in the Bay. Now, it seems like they will have true brothers on the team. And yes, they are both amazing shooters.

The younger Curry brother is a career 43.3% shooter from deep. That is good for the seventh-highest percentage in league history.

One Area Seth Curry Can Help the Warriors

There is no denying that the Golden State Warriors signed the younger Curry to help with shooting. Right now, they are second in the league in three-point attempts. However, they are just 16th in efficiency. For a team that is trying to win and has Steph Curry on their roster, being in the top 10 in efficiency should not be a question.

The problem for the Warriors is that most of their shooters are going through a slump. For example, Buddy Hield is shooting just 30.8% from three-point range; he is a career 39.6% shooter. Quinten Post might be having a second-year slump, falling to 31.6% from three-point range. Last season, he shot over 40%. Al Horford, who they brought in to spread the floor, is shooting 32% from three-point range this season.

The irony is that their most efficient shooter right now is Jimmy Butler, and he has never been known as one. Jimmy is the only one with better-than-40% efficiency from behind the arc.

Seth is a career 43.3% shooter from behind the arc. Last season, on a bad Charlotte Hornets team, he shot 45.6% from behind the arc. Now imagine how well he can do with players like Butler or Steph creating open looks for him.

When Will the Curry Brothers Play Together?

Right now, Steph is out with a quad injury. The Warriors initially said he will be out for a week, meaning he should play next week. But given his age and wear and tear, they might give him a bit more time.

The Warriors have an easier schedule coming up in the first half of December. After a grueling October and November with four back-to-back sets, they will play just two games in 10 days. They can thank the NBA Cup schedule for that.
