Bradley Beal has spent his entire nine-year NBA career with the Washington Wizards. Given the Wizards’ downward trajectory, Beal may have run out of patience with the organization.
Rumors are surfacing suggesting Beal could soon request a trade. If that’s the route he takes, he’d probably do so ahead of the fast-approaching NBA Draft, which is scheduled for next Thursday, July 29.
“He knows he has to make a decision before the draft,” a source with knowledge of Beal’s current mindset told Bleacher Report.
In the event Beal does demand a trade, there’s four teams he would reportedly have interest in. Those four teams include the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers.
“Beal does not have a proverbial list of preferred destinations, but it was mentioned by multiple sources that he would welcome joining teams such as Boston, Golden State, Miami or Philadelphia—although Beal requesting a trade would all but guarantee an expansive bidding war across the league,” wrote Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. “The number of potential destinations and interested suitors could span a significant portion of the NBA.”

Bradley Beal is the type of player that can help a contender get over the hump and win a championship. If he becomes available in a trade, a bidding war will commence, putting the Wizards in a prime opportunity.
Time isn’t exactly on the Wizards’ side at the moment, though. The NBA Draft is just six days away. If Beal wants out, he’ll need to tell Washington in a hurry.
We could learn all we need to know about Beal’s NBA future as soon as next week.
