The third-year Warriors guard might be the biggest fan of the WNBA’s newest team
If you’ve been on the internet this summer, you’ve seen Brandin Podziemski going crazy over the Golden State Valkyries. Although many Warriors players have shown their support for the Valkyries ahead of and during their inaugural season, Podziemski has been going all out, showing up courtside to every home game and celebrating quite ostensibly.
In his lavender hoodie and Kate Martin jersey, Podz has become the loudest and proudest WNBA fan the NBA has to offer — outside of maybe Bam Adebayo, that is.
Podz chooses to rep Kate Martin most of the time. Martin, a sophomore guard who the Valkyries acquired from the Las Vegas Aces in the expansion draft, has been averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. With a 9-7 record, the Valkyries are off to a fantastic start — and fans are reporting incredible vibes inside the arena, might I add. Some say the environment is reminiscent of the Oracle before the Warriors’ move to San Francisco — fans who have been priced out of Warriors games are finding a love for the WNBA, which has more affordable games on average.
Overall, we can tell the vibes are fantastic just from the videos shared of Brandin Podziemski going all out for his Valkyries. The Warriors themselves even called him the Valkyries’ biggest fan, and it’s easy to see why.
