Draymond Green has never been one not tell you exactly how he feels about a situation and the four-time champion kept it on-brand during Monday’s media when speaking about the addition of Chris Paul.
Asked about his prior battles with CP3 before joining him as a teammate, Green admitted that the veteran point guard is “kind of an asshole” but not necessarily in a bad way.
If you’ve ever watched Chris compete he’s kind of an asshole. You may say the same thing about me and that’s ok. But he’s also one of the most competitive guys I’ve played against over my 11 years in this league. … Definitely somebody I can learn from. I’m excited about it. We’re growing in more facets than one and it’s been an incredible start to it. For both of us, the goal is to win.

Paul joined the Warriors this offseason after years of his teams being rivals with the Dubs out West.
Even at this stage of career, CP3 is a more than capable point guard that brings a tremendous basketball IQ to whatever situation he’s in. It’ll be interesting to see how both sides navigate this season when things tip-off vs. Paul’s former team Oct. 24.
