The people of France will not be forgiving Steph Curry any time soon.
Following Curry’s awe-inspiring flurry of three-pointers to clinch Team USA’s 98-87 win over France in the gold medal game at the Olympics, McDonald’s France is considering a menu change.
The company announced on its official Instagram page Sunday that it is considering getting rid of its curry dipping sauce for a “minimum” of four years until the next Olympics.
“Pour des raisons evidente, on songe a retirer cette sauce,” the post reads, which translated to English means, “for obvious reasons, we are considering removing this sauce.”
We’re not sure if McDonald’s is serious with this proposed boycott, but either way, well-played.
Curry hit for 24 points in the gold medal game on eight three-pointers, including four in the final three minutes, each shot more ridiculous than the last.
He scored 12 of the United States’ final 16 points as the Americans broke open an 82-79 game.
Even the French commentators could not believe the Golden State Warriors superstar’s performance, saying on the air that the “this devil named Curry is hurting us!”
Curry, who had never played in the Olympics before, led Team USA in scoring in Paris, averaging 14.8 points per game on 49.2% shooting from the field and 46.8% from beyond the arc.
