A long offseason awaits.
We’re in the awkward part of the NBA offseason. Which is to say, it’s not actually the offseason yet, it just is for the Golden State Warriors. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Indiana Pacers, and New York Knicks are all still focused on the 2025 NBA Playoffs, and one of those teams will soon be crowned a champion. But the Warriors and 26 other teams find themselves looking towards the 2025-26 season … but unable to actually get started yet.
Soon there will be a draft, and then free agency. The Warriors will add players and lose players. They’ll be involved in rumors, reports, and — dare I say — even drama.
So it’s as good a time as any to field some mailbag questions, which I’ll publish on Friday. You can ask about the upcoming offseason and how Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Steve Kerr should best maneuver it. You can ask about Jonathan Kuminga’s upcoming restricted free agency. You can ask about the draft, and what approach the team will take. You can ask about Steph Curry’s busy — but hopefully basketball-free — offseason. You can ask about Kevin Durant. Yes, Kevin Durant. You can ask about the Golden State Valkyries, whose first week of games just wrapped up.
Heck, you can even ask about non-basketball things! Everything’s on the table … within reason that is.
So head to the comment section to submit your questions. I’ll try my best to answer each one. It’s a long offseason; no use in wasting any time or any good questions!
